The gel is more of a ampoule than a gel.  I use a few drops on my eyes every night.  It goes on non-greasy and light.  I have normal skin, but people with dry skin may find that it's not moisturizing enough.  I have very dark circles but did not notice any major changes.  I still like using it though and will likely repurchase when I run out.
