The essence is clear and runny, and I feel these are geared more towards getting the benefit of each compound/type rather than simple hydration. While this didn't feel too rich or hydrating, the Madecassoside sheet was incredibly soothing on any redness or pimples I had, my skin felt calm and comfortable the next day. The sheet itself is very thin and nothing special, but it does come with the additional plastic sheet that helps you unfold it.
