So many good things about this product: (1) It comes in a huge tub that will last quite some time (2) It has a pleasant scent that didn't irritate my skin or nose (3) absorbs quickly without any residue--not sticky or greasy (4) hydrates and has a cool, refreshing feel. I don't know how this compares to your drug store aloe, but so far I'm liking this. I don't use this alone, I usually apply this after I shower (keeps my skin calm, hydrated, and soft) then apply another layer of moisturizer. I've used this on my face and the rest of my body as well.
