This is an excellent eye primer. It goes on smoothly, with an almost oily consistency, but dries down to a powdery, slightly tacky feel. It's a whiteish-purple in the tube but goes on transparent with very slight shimmer that would not interfere with any eye look you are trying to achieve. It greatly helps powder and cream eyeshadow adhere better and longer than on bare lids alone. I also put this along my lower lash line and under eye sometimes as well, and it helps to prevent mascara smudging. In fact, this goes on more smoothly and helps prevent mascara smudges (of one of the smudgiest mascaras I own!) better than a high-end eye primer I own. I would absolutely recommend!
