Review of BLITHE’s Blue Zone Marine Intensive Mask Abalone

BLITHE is a Korean brand currently known for their patting water packs, they also have unique and high quality facial mask sheets. The blue zone marine intensive abalone mask contains an intense moisturizing element, as well as boosts the moisture barrier and aids in anti-oxidation. This mask is designed to protect sensitive skin and enhance skin elasticity. Main ingredients include Jeju abalone extract (anti-inflammatory, maintains a clear complexion & anti-aging), palmitoyl oligopeptide (stimulates collagen production, enhances the use of hyaluronic acids), lemon peel oil (brightening, refreshing), rosemary leaf oil (rejuvenating, anti-aging) and chamomile oil (anti-inflammatory, healing).

The mask comes in very nice packaging, it feels very sleek. The mask itself is saturated and the packaging contains lots of excess essence. The material of the mask is thin but made with very sturdy material that contains many tiny holes that help keep the essence inside the mask, the fit is very good and should cover most people’s faces and it sits comfortably on the skin. The scent is light and slightly citrusy, probably from the lemon and lime oil. Recommended use is 15-20 minutes and it dries out after about an hour.

What I like: this mask is very comfortable to wear and the essence is deeply hydrating and not overly sticky. I like the materials feel and I even think wearing this is like a kind of luxurious facial. The scent is very light and the slightly citrus smell is pleasing. My skin felt very soft and smooth after use and plumped. It didn’t really even out my skin tone, but my skin did look brighter after use. What I don’t like: not available in many places and it does contain a fair amount of irritants that may not be suitable for people with sensitive skin (regardless of their description of it protecting sensitive skin).
