It's gentle as long as you're gentle on the skin.The sugar melts as you rub it in the skin.It leaves a fresh feeling,and what's good about it is that there is no tight feeling after i wash it off. The scent is okay,it smells like strawberry made out of chemicals. I use it once a week.So far it works
