The color I picked (barbara pink) is horrendous on me - very bright cotton candy pink. BUT I am impressed with how fully and completely the coverage is. In one swipe, my lips are exactly the color of the lipstick. So, there is no sheerness. Make sure you pick a color that will look good on you exactly as shown, your lips will not show through
